Hotshoe Studio is a full multi-track video editor that opens straight from any clip in your library — trim, grade, caption and export a reel without a render farm, a plugin, or a second app.

From the library to the timeline
One click out of the viewer.
Open any clip and hit Advanced Editor — Studio opens full-screen with the video already sitting on track one at 00:00:00. Or start from scratch at /studio and build a reel from clips, photos and audio already in your library. Four panels, the way editors expect them: a media library on the left, a multi-track preview in the centre, clip properties on the right, and a timeline along the bottom.

Video, audio, LUTs, titles — one shelf.
Tabs for Video, Audio, Images, LUTs (built-in looks, or upload your own .cube file), Text (Heading, Subheading, Body, Caption presets), Shapes, animated Stickers and pre-built Templates for title cards and motion graphics. Click anything and it lands on the timeline at the playhead, in the next free track. The timeline itself has dedicated track types — Video, Overlay, Audio, LUTs, Adjustment, Subtitle — with drag-to-reposition, resize-handle trimming, snapping, and a one-key Split.

Built for the edit, not just the trim
Aspect ratios, scopes, safe zones.
Switch the whole composition between 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 2.35:1 — a vertical reel and a cinematic frame are the same tool, not a separate export setting. Waveform and histogram scopes, a Proxy mode for smooth playback on big projects, and Safe guides (action-safe, title-safe, rule-of-thirds) keep the frame honest while you work. Every session auto-saves a trace to your browser every second, so a closed tab or a dead battery costs you nothing.

Export
MP4, WebM or ProRes — rendered on your machine.
Format: MP4 (H.264), WebM (VP9) or MOV (ProRes). Resolution up to 4K, frame rate 24 through 60fps, quality from Draft to Lossless, with audio sample rate and channel controls alongside. The render runs client-side on WebCodecs — no upload to a server farm, no wait in a queue. The composition you built is the file you download.
